Conventionally grown cotton occupies only 3% of the world's farmland but uses 25% of the world's chemical pesticides (no chemicals). Organic cotton is grown using natural fertilizers and natural pesticides. Organic cotton processing consumes less fuel and energy and emits fewer green house gases. Some of the world's poorest countries are highly dependant upon cotton. Real organic cotton is certified to have been grown according to the Global Organic Textile Standards (GOTS). |

Natural anti bacteria, bamboo can thrice naturally without using any pesticide. In addition, as a regenerated cellulose fiber it is 100% made from bamboo through a high tech process. Raw material bamboo are selected from non polluted regions in Yunan and Sichuan Province. More important, bamboo fiber is a unique biodegradable textile material. As a natural cellulose fiber, it can be 100% biodegrade in soil by micro organisms , water and sunshine. |

Ramie is a flowering plant, native from eastern Asia, growing to 1-2.5m tall. It has been used for at least 6000 years and is principally used for fabric production as it is one of the strongest natural fiber , exhibiting even greater strength when wet. It is not as durable as other fibers and not easy to dye as well as cotton but well known for its ability to hold shape so it is often used as a blend with other fibers such as cotton or wool.
Totally biodegradable but its fiber’s extraction and cleaning are expensive.

RECYCLED POLYESTER |
|
Polyester is the most common material used worldwide
for promotional bags but is often confused with
recycled PET ( as PET is a polymer of polyester..) we
can nowadays get recycled polyester through
mechanical and chemical recycling processes,
to produce similar polyester from the scrap while using
a fraction of the energy virgin yarns require.' (. Use of
recycled fibers reduces waste destined for
landfills and also preserves resources such as
oil and energy needed). For technical reasons,
like recycled paper, it is very difficult to get a 100
% Recycled material from pre or post consumer
recycled materials, Unfortunately , there still
need a % of non recycled material to a achieve
the consistency of the fabric.
As it requires a large MOQ, Schoolbags offers at date
only 600D and soon recycled nylon.
Our recycled polyester fabric is fully recyclable, and is
never intended to reach the landfill. Additionally,
Ecolobags carefully chooses the raw material providers
we get fabrics from. We seek out mills that are
conscientious of the need to move the green
movement forward. They must comply with local
pollution protection laws at regards of all chemicals
and pigments used in the manufacturing process." |

SEAGRASS |
|
The term Seagrass defines any of the various
seaweeds/plants that grow underwater in shallow beds and
fully-saline environments. Not be confused with the more
common marine algae, sea grass is a underwater flowering
plan with long and narrow leaves. Seagrass must
photosynthesize so they grown in shallow and sheltered
coastal water where they stabilize the seabed . That why only
the leaves are collected and of course , paying particular
attention not to remove its roots.
They are often collected as fertilizer for sandy soil , as
mattress filing, bandage, etc,. More recently, seagrasses
have been used in furniture and bags in their woven forms
(after drying and weaving into fabric).

STONE MADE PAPER |
|
Stone Paper is also known as the Rich
Mineral Paper, which is constituted
from the main raw material of mineral
rocks containing variants of calcium
carbonate, such as calcite, marble and
limestone. Grinding minerals into
powder and dissolving the powder into
nonpoisonous organic macromolecular
compound, the production process
does not need water, strong acids,
strong bases, bleaching agents nor
other organic chlorines. This means it
does not produce waste. Stone Paper
looks like conventional paper but it is
more pliable and tougher, therefore
more durable, difficult to tear and is
waterproof.

WOODEN WASTE FIBRES + COTTON YARN |
|
Compound paper is processed through an electrolysis process which separates the wood fiber from other materials and wastes. The result is 100% pure and natural word fiber which contain no additive and chemicals and much stronger than normal paper. Environment-friendly materials, which abide by Environmental Development Directives it is more recyclable and bio-degradable compared to regular paper or plastic materials. They are best suited for silk-screen printing, rubber stamping, photogravure, thermography, and heat-sensitive substrates. They can also endure heat-transfer requirements. |

PP NON WOVEN |
|
Non woven fabrics got environmental benefits over other traditional fabrics and papers in regards mainly to its production process and its recycling benefits due to natural degrading properties and the process for its production which does not required the use of poisonous gas, wasted oil and effluents. PP non woven is anti bacterial and recyclable. By selecting special PP from recycled sources, we can now make this material both recycled and recyclable (Cat 5). The use of recycled PP does not affect his softness, air permeability, tensile strength and high elongation rate. |

RECYCLED P.E.T |
|
PET (polyethylene) is a common thermoplastic commodity heavily found in plastic bottles, beverage and other liquid containers. Various form of recycled PET exists but most common one is made of maximum 70 to 80% post consumer waste. Soft and smooth to the touch and has similar strength to standard Cotton bags material. It allows silk screen printing and more printing option if laminated. Our bags are made from reclaimed PET coming from recycled plastic bottles so only black or white colors are available. 1 standard recycled PET bag required the use of 6 to 8 1.5L transparent plastic bottles on average, so more PET recycled bags means less waste in our daily life. |

COMPOSTABLE BAGS |
|
|
Biodegradable plastics are capable of undergoing deco
imposition into carbon dioxide, methane, water, inorganic
compounds, or biomass in which the predominant mechanism is the enzymatic action of micro-organisms,
that can be measured by standardized tests,
in a specified period of time, reflecting available disposal
conditions. 100% Biodegradable bags, no PP material,
100% environmentally safe, bags can be biodegraded
within 3 months. The cost of such bags are much higher
than normal PVC bag. One more point for you to note is
that 100% biodegradable bags cannot be stored for too
long time (within 12 months) and must stored or kept in
room temperature below 35C, otherwise, the bags are
easily broken.
1) 90% of the material must disintegrate into small
fragments less than 2mm in size within 3 months of
being placed in Industrial Compost (Test Method
ISO 16929).
2) 90% of the material must biodegrade and change
into CO2 and water within 6 months (Test method ISO
14855). Materials used are mostly PE with high % of
natural corn starch.

CORN NATURAL FIBERS (PLA) |
|
This versatile polymer is derived from dextrose by fermentation of corn fibres. Sustainable and renewable source, the PLA can be recaptured from plant fiber cellulose that would otherwise be burned or discarded. For environmental protection and regeneration value, using PLA to produce nature materials is the best alternative to costly petroleum. We currently have FDA certification.
